My name is Ildikó Éva Torok. I was born in Budapest, Hungary, on March 6, 1956, where I studied and worked until I moved to Canada in 1987. I’m a proud mother of three and grandmother to nine wonderful grandchildren.
From a young age, I had a natural talent and passion for drawing, but I didn’t have the opportunity to pursue it seriously at the time. After retiring, I returned to art—first as a hobby, and then with a growing desire to learn painting more deeply.
Although I felt it was too late to attend a traditional art school, I discovered a wealth of knowledge and inspiration online. Through YouTube, I found many talented artists offering lessons and guidance, and I began learning from them. Over time, I developed my own unique style, shaped by the techniques and teachings of many artists who generously share their knowledge.
Art has become a meaningful and fulfilling part of my life, allowing me to express myself and continue growing creatively every day.
