My name is Ildikó Éva Torok. I was born in Budapest, Hungary, on March 6, 1956, where I studied and worked until I moved to Canada in 1987. I’m a proud mother of three and grandmother to nine wonderful grandchildren.
From a young age, I had a natural talent and passion for drawing, but I didn’t have the opportunity to pursue it seriously at the time. After retiring, I returned to art—first as a hobby, and then with a growing desire to learn painting more deeply.
My paintings are a reflection of the emotions, memories, and inspirations I’ve gathered throughout my life. Influenced by nature, everyday moments, and personal experiences, each piece is created with deep intention and love. I aim to capture the beauty in simplicity and the stories that often go unnoticed. Painting has become a way for me to express what words cannot—offering a window into my inner world and a connection to others through color, form, and feeling.
